$20.00 goes a long way.

So... here's the story. Me and Telyse are going over our bills at work and trying to budget to see what we'll have left over at the end of each month. Telyse makes her list and hands it to me to go over. I start going over it and just let me show you what she has written down. Keep in mind this is split between 3 people.

Mareia:
Rent......$215.00
Utilities.$20.00
Gas.......$40.00 a tank (every other tank)
Internet..$50.00
GROCERY...$20.00

Can anyone tell me whats wrong with this picture??? I'll give you a hint...
It has to do with our monthly supply of food. 20.00 a month???? Really???

This is the conversation
M- "Why am I only paying $20.00 a month in food?"
T- "Well how much are you gonna eat? It's not going to cost more than $20.00 each. That's $60.00 a month."
M- "What??? We're gonna need a lot more than $60.00 a month for food!"
T- "No we won't. Food isn't that much!"

We go home and tell our parents Telyse's wonderful idea about grocery's.

T- "So I figured we could spend $20.00 in grocery's each."
P- "You're talking $20.00 a week each right?"
T- "No... a month."
